Platform Fee Benefits

These benefits are available to users who have paid for the Platform Fee on their booking.

1. After Hours Transportation Voucher

Get greater peace of mind if your trip is affected by a breakdown.

  • Voucher Value: Get up to $20 voucher with a valid taxi/ride-hailing receipt.    

  • Applicable Time: 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

  • Claim Limit: Limited to 1 claim per calendar month.

2. Customer Appreciation Voucher

You will be issued with a Customer Appreciation Voucher for mechanical issues or delays at the start of your booking. Limited to 1 claim per calendar month. You can claim both the After Hours Transportation voucher and the Customer Appreciation Voucher for the same booking.

A. Mechanical Breakdown ($10 Voucher)

  • If you experienced a breakdown during your booking, you will be entitled to this benefit.

B. Trip Start Delay ($5 Voucher)

This is applicable if the start of your booking is delayed due to:

  • Location Issue: Vehicle is not at the designated parking location (i.e., not indicated by previous hirer or not reasonably parked at the same deck/area).

  • Access Issue: Unlocking delay of more than 10 minutes, being unable to unlock at all, the vehicle key cannot be found at all or the vehicle key is returned late by the previous hirer, selfie verification issues.

3. Illness Voucher

This benefit provides relief if you need to cancel a booking due to sudden illness.

  • Voucher Value: Up to 50% of the first 2 days’ booking (issued in vouchers).

  • Requirement: Submission of a valid Medical Certificate (MC).

  • Claim Limit: Limited to 1 claim per quarter.

  • Timing: Claims are are only allowed before the start of your reservation period

  • Documentation: The Medical Certificate must belong to the hirer and match the hirer’s name. Only MCs from Singapore clinics/hospitals are accepted (teleconsults are not accepted).

  • Cancellation Policy: Claims are calculated after applying the standard cancellation policy. You are ineligible for the Illness Voucher if you have already received a full refund for the booking. (e.g., a cancellation made over 48 hours in advance with a $0.88 charge inclusive). then you cannot claim the Illness Voucher. In addition, to obtain this claim, you must cancel your booking as soon as your MC is issued to free the car for booking other members. 

General Claim Conditions & Exclusions

Claim Submission & Verification

  • Claims must be submitted with valid documents within 7 days of the incident.

  • Tribecar reserves the right to verify claims and request additional documents if required.

  • Any abuse or false claims will result in recovery of the voucher value, suspension of the account, and possible legal action.

  • Claims will not be not applicable for breakdowns resulting from damage caused by or negligence of the hirer (e.g., overheating, tyre issues, accidents, etc.) and all claims will only be approved for mechanical breakdowns verified by us.

General Restrictions

  • No Double Dipping: You cannot claim compensation for the same issue under this system if you have already received compensation from other benefit systems (e.g., sharing of late fees, receiving fuel compensation).

  • Vouchers: All issued vouchers have a specific validity period and cannot be exchanged for cash, e-wallet credit, transferred, or replaced.

Claims Are Not Applicable If the Situation Arises From:

  • Illegal use of the vehicle or Traffic offences

  • Drunk driving

  • Unauthorised drivers

  • Misuse or negligence by the hirer

  • Smuggling (including but not limited to drugs and vape)

Policy & Amendments

  • Force Majeure: Claims related to force majeure (e.g. heavy rain, flooding, road closures, accidents caused by third parties) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Policy Precedence: If there is any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and existing Tribecar policies, the Tribecar policies will take precedence.

  • Rights Reserved: Tribecar reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this benefit program at any time without prior notice.
